Gala Night:
The dancers were quite delayed in arrival, which resulted in compromise when doing their make-up and hair for the first of their scenes. This was "okayed" by the director, and the came straight back to us after their cue to have their make-up completed.
However, we managed to get Horace ready in good time. The nose injury was a little better but bruising had come out around the eye. I managed to fix this with make-up by mirroring the darkness on the opposite side. Leigh arrived wearing a smaller, circular plaster which proved a lot easier to work with and conceal.
The Gala Night itself was very high class and sophisticated. It was a unique experience, unlike any I had yet encountered. It was enjoyable to mingle with those involved in funding and running other events at the site.
