Grace

Grace.
This character was quite complex to design for, as Grace decieves Horace Walpole's ghost by pretending to be a male ghost from the same period as he. She plays the part of his servant, and needed to wear a cap to conceal her long hair, which is revealed at the end. Initially, I thought that she would be dressed shown as above, but we later discovered that a servant would not be wearing a coat when their master would not. The director and writer also wanted a simpler cap, as this was too formal. I chose reds to reflect the colours in the house, but also keeping away from the blues that are used to reflect the Walpole blood-line.
