Once we had settled on our designs to be made, and had them confirmed by both the writer, and director, we began to research into appropriate patterns and distribute the makes evenly among us. I had the responsibility of constructing both Horatio's nightshirt and Horace's breeches. And we later agreed on the distribution of dancer's costumes, however the dancer's were not cast until just over a week before the performance.
In early February, we attended the actor's read- through and carried out our toile fittings. This was a good opportunity to meet the actors, and to get a better feel for the script (as before only we had read it through).
Prior to this, we also had the opportunity to explore the site, and this influenced the designs considerably.
