SDP in progress... Costume Store

I've been constructing an Edwardian shirt. I used a 1930s vintage shirt pattern from the National Theatre. I had to carry out some historical research in order to adapt the collar shape and then change this on the pattern.
I struggled with regards to the sleeve placket as I was unsure where best to snip into the sleeve, however I feel that I could do this more effectively if I were to it again, and I have learnt from my mistakes (which I will cover with a small insert of fabric, as I do not have enough fabric to re-do the sleeve completely). However, I am aware that this would need to be re-done in industry, but I do feel that the ability to problem-solve is almost as important as quality control.
I have enjoyed working with such delicate fabric, as it requires extra attention to detail and care during construction- all good experience.
